Hottest day of the trip and as the sun goes down the music strikes up here in this hotel on the outskirts of Wloklawek in the region of Kuyavian-Pomerania. The countryside is well cultivated with many small lakes. It is still generally very flat but more attractive and better managed than the border region of Lubuskie which may have suffered from being in and out of Poland?
Avoided all dirt tracks today ...... on purpose! Although hot, thunder storms rolled in and out. Rain seem to be accepted easily by locals who may sometimes take shelter but never put on waterproofs. Ice cream is very popular! Tyskie beer is more popular!
The wedding party live band played until after 4.30am and residents were up before 6.00. Don't come to Hotel Gosciniec for a quiet night!
